FG suspends airline for flying Naira Marley to Abuja

 

The Federal Government has suspended the operations of a private jet charter for flying Musician, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, to Abuja.

The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika who stated this on Monday during the Presidential Task Force briefing in Abuja, said the Executive Jet Services flouted the Covid-19 regulation.

According to the minister, the flight was approved for a different purpose, to convey a service judge from Lagos to Abuja and back, on official assignment.

Operations of the flight company have been suspended indefinitely, and will also be fined. Flight Captain will also be sanctioned for providing false information, he said.

He explained that Judiciary considered essential services, as such the flight operators violated the approval.
